How difficult is this kit to knit?

This kit is designed for intermediate knitters or those wanting a step-up challenge. It uses circular needles, goes beyond the basic stiches, and uses a stitch marker. If you’re newer to knitting, this kit can still be a rewarding challenge but expect to invest extra time learning along the way.

Are the needles included?

No. This kit includes everything except needles. However, we offer the correct US size 6 (4 mm) circular needles at checkout so you can add them easily if you don’t already have them. They’re smooth and perfect for this blanket’s generous size.

Can the finished blanket be washed?

Yes.

Blocking:
• Hand wash in lukewarm water

• Rinse well
• Squeeze out excess water

• Place on a padded surface (a clean dry towel works well)

• Block to desired measurements

• Leave to dry

 

After that:

• Hand wash cold

• Lay flat to dry

This is untreated wool and will felt if exposed to hot water and agitation.

How long does the kit take to knit?

Everyone’s pace is different, but many knitters complete the blanket over several weeks of relaxed, intentional knitting — perfect for evenings, slow weekends, or mindful making.
